Do you know that moment when you place a warm herbal stamp on a shoulder and the whole body just lets go? That’s no coincidence.
A herbal stamp massage works on three things at once: heat that softens the tissue, herbs that reach the skin and the senses, and a rhythm that calms the nervous system. Together they do more than each could alone.
In this one-day workshop you’ll learn that treatment from start to finish. In the morning you make your own stamps — filling, tying, twisting the handle — alongside the herb theory: what each herb does, what the risks are, and where the line lies between what you may claim and what simply isn’t true. In the afternoon you’ll learn the routine: the full protocol, front and back positions, practising it on each other until it sits in your hands.
By the end of the day you’ll have a treatment you can put on your menu on Monday.
Who is this for
This workshop is for professionals: massage therapists, beauty therapists, pedicurists and wellness colleagues who already work with their hands and want to expand what they offer.
You don’t need any experience with stamps. You do need a basic knowledge of massage, anatomy and contraindications — we build on that.
Maximum 6 participants. Small, so I can work with everyone.
What you’ll learn
By the end of this day you’ll be able to:
- explain where the herbal stamp comes from, and when to heat it in oil versus steam
- explain what heat really does to circulation, muscle tension and pain perception, and where the claims stop
- recognise the main stamp herbs, their effects and their risks
- fill, tie and heat your own stamps — for body and face
- work safely with temperature and explain the difference between “pleasantly warm” and dangerous
- identify and apply absolute and relative contraindications
- carry out a full treatment protocol, front and back position
- work with cold stamps for the face and tired legs
- store, reuse and retire your stamps hygienically and on time
- combine the treatment with what you already do — TCM, facials, relaxation massage
- 09:00 — Welcome, coffee and introductions
- Where does the stamp come from? Two traditions, two ways to heat a stamp — and what that means for your hands.
- Herb theory. The classic Thai six, the modern blends, and what grows here on the island. What each herb does, and what to watch out for.
- Making your own stamps. Filling, tying, twisting the handle. A body stamp and a facial stamp — you take these home at the end of the day.
- Heating and temperature testing. The steamer, the test on your own arm, and why movement is your most important safety measure.
- 12:30 — Lunch
- 13:15 — What does heat actually do? Circulation, muscle tension, pain relief — and the honest limit of what actually gets through the skin.
- Contraindications. Absolute and relative. We take this chapter seriously.
- The protocol. Front and back position, step by step. We walk through it together first, then you practise it on each other.
- Face and cold stamps.
- Hygiene, storage and your practice. What to charge, how to put it on your menu.
- 16:30 — Wrap-up, questions and a cup of tea
- Your own stamps — made by you, to take home
- The full reader — with all the recipes, the protocol and the cheat sheet. Choose your language: Dutch, English or Spanish
- Certificate of participation — Massage Bonaire & Beauty
- Lunch, coffee and tea all day
- All materials for your practice

About Marjolijn
I’m Marjolijn Beuzekamp-Aarts of Massage Bonaire & Beauty. I work with TCM and Tui-Na, Lomi Lomi, sound bowls, psoas release and facials — and I train colleagues.
What keeps touching me about this profession is that technique and feeling aren’t opposites. That combination is exactly what I want to pass on in this workshop.
Enough reading. Because the best way to learn is by doing. If you want this treatment in your hands: Saturday 10 October, full day, six spots. Sign up alongside this text — any questions, don’t hesitate, send me a message or give me a call.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need prior knowledge?
You don’t need to have worked with a stamp before. This day is meant for people who already massage or work with skin — we build on a basic knowledge of anatomy and contraindications.
Do I need to bring my own materials?
No. Cloths, herbs, cord and the steamer are provided. Just bring comfortable clothing and towels.
Do I take the stamps I make home with me?
Yes. You make a couple in the morning, we use them in the afternoon, and at the end of the day they go home with you.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. You’ll receive a certificate of participation from Massage Bonaire & Beauty.
Can I start offering the treatment right away afterwards?
Yes. By the end of the day you’ll have practised the full protocol and know how to perform it safely. You’ll find everything in the reader, plus a cheat sheet for your first weeks.
Is there an English or Spanish version of the day itself?
The day itself is taught in Dutch. You can choose the reader in Dutch, English or Spanish — just let me know which one when you sign up. Want a separate date for a group of English- or Spanish-speaking colleagues? Feel free to get in touch.
What if I can't make it on 10 October?
Let me know — with enough interest I’ll plan a second date, and I’ll put you on the list.
Until when can I register?
As long as there’s space, and there are only 6 spots. The early bird runs until 26 September; after that it’s $225.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, in two instalments: half at registration, the rest before the workshop starts. Get in touch and we’ll arrange it together.
