Learn to massage in 2 days: with attention, knowledge and intuition

Massage takes attention, intuition and an open heart. In two relaxed days you learn the basic principles of massage, from anatomy to technique, and you leave ready to work with friends, family or clients with confidence.

You don’t need any experience. We build everything up calmly, step by step.

Program

Day 1: massage fundamentals and basic anatomy

Morning

  • Welcome and introductions
  • What is massage? What touch means for body and mind
  • Intention and energy: how you make the difference as a massage therapist
  • Contraindications: when should you not massage?
  • Posture and working technique: how do you massage without straining yourself?
  • Anatomy part 1: skeleton and joints

Afternoon

  • Making contact: with yourself and with the other person
  • Intermittent pressure: first touch and preparation
  • Effleurage: gliding strokes for relaxation and circulation
  • Practice: massage of the back, neck and shoulders
  • Anatomy in practice: feel what you learn

Day 2: muscles, going deeper and a full-body massage

Morning

  • Recap of day 1
  • Petrissage: kneading the muscles
  • Friction: deep circular movements for muscle knots
  • Tapotement: percussion techniques for stimulation or relaxation
  • Anatomy part 2: muscles, skin and circulation

Afternoon

  • Practice: massage of the legs (front and back) and arms
  • Combining techniques into one flowing treatment
  • Giving a complete 60-minute relaxation massage
  • Time for feedback and wrap-up

What will you learn?

6 basic massage techniques

  1. Making contact and connecting: the foundation of every massage. Trust starts with your hands.
  2. Intermittent pressure: a calm way to let tissue get used to touch.
  3. Effleurage: gliding strokes that promote relaxation and circulation.
  4. Petrissage: kneading that works deeper into the muscles.
  5. Friction: small, deep circles that release tension.
  6. Tapotement: rhythmic tapping for stimulation or relaxation.

The anatomy you need

You learn the basics of the skeleton, joints, muscles, skin and circulation: exactly what you need to massage safely and with purpose.
